Review: The Lovebirds, Military Wives, and Have a Good Trip

Streaming mania continues with “The Lovebirds” “Military Wives” and “Have a Good Trip – Adventures in Psychedelics.”

“The Lovebirds” starring Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae finds a home on Netflix, and this may have been the best thing to happen to this somewhat uneven but still enjoyable comedy.

”Military Wives” is a story we’ve seen before (even if we haven’t) that’s elevated by the performances of Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan.

“Have A Good Trip – Adventures in Psychedelics” is a documentary starring way more famous people than I expected it to, and is full of good stories (even if you don’t do drugs). It features Sting, ASAP Rocky, Rosie Perez, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Bourdain, Deepak Chopra, and a who’s who of comedy like Marc Maron, Sarah Silverman, Natasha Lyonne etc, (also Fred Willard – RIP).
