Review: Chemical Hearts, Tesla, and Boys State

Lots of streaming from home options this week with “Chemical Hearts” “Tesla” and “Boys State”.

Unfortunately “Chemical Hearts” lacks heart – it’s like an AI wrote a script of what it thought would be marketable to teens. Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams star.

“Tesla” is an uninspired portrait of an inspiring figure. Ethan Hawke provides my least favorite portrayal of Nikola Tesla in however many years. Eve Hewson, Kyle MacLachlan, and Jim Gaffigan also star.

Finally (and thankfully) there’s the terrifying documentary “Boys State” which will likely be held up as evidence of our political downfall in the history books.
